This design project, named Gentle Messages, is a workshop presented in a light industrial style, aimed at reducing the business feel and creating a friendly, carefree, and comfortable atmosphere resembling working at home. The office space, spanning 100 square meters, is divided into separate regions including the company reception, guest-meeting section, meeting room, office seating section, storage section, and rest area. The design hopes to inspire workers' creative thoughts through the application of diversified materials.
For the application of materials, a combination of tiles and metal trims are used to create partition lines, offering a mosaic effect that blends modern and American table corner materials. The central island style, together with the application of raw materials like osb board, adds a touch of uniqueness to the space. The use of diversified materials and their careful arrangement allows for natural lighting to flow into the space, creating a natural, clear, and comfortable spatial segmentation.
Eliminating excessive resplendent decorations, the design replaces them with simple light industrial elements to brighten up the large areas of white, clean bases. This opens up a refreshing field of vision for the open layout, complemented by delicate patterns of marble. The design not only creates a pleasant working environment but also reflects the client's vision for a beautiful future, resembling gentle and sincere blessings.
The Gentle Messages office design project was completed on June 30, 2018, in Taipei City. It was created by the talented design team of YU Design Lab, led by Yu Tsun Hsu and Hung Sheng Hsu. The project has been recognized for its excellence and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness. The Gentle Messages design showcases strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
